Installation, backups and updates: a safe handover Print

  • 0

Applies to: Planning an agreed customer deployment

Use the correct package

Obtain the qualified archive and version-specific instructions for your purchased product. Owned, hosted, engine-only and bots-only variants are not interchangeable. Do not copy commands from an operator server or use an unrelated installer to fill a missing release.

Prepare the installation

Confirm infrastructure requirements, network access, domain/TLS arrangements, licence setup and who performs the installation. Use unique account credentials and keep the initial account and strategy settings under review before enabling execution.

Before an update

Read the release notes, back up the configuration and database using the supplied procedure, and verify that the backup can be restored. Agree how running strategies and open positions will be handled. Do not assume stopping a process closes a position.

After an update

Verify the displayed version, login, account mode, balances, order history and relevant product routes. Resolve errors or stale accounting before relying on automation. If your product has not yet received qualified instructions, contact AIE instead of improvising an upgrade.
